One of the amazing things about CLUBE 33, is that we force ourselves to try new experiences.
A renaissance faire, STEAMPUNK themed was one of these experiences, which led two of us to create a new business!
Two of us who attended a renaissance fair for the first time. As we experienced the Victorian and steampunk fashion at the fair, we were immediately hooked into the style and decided to jump right into it.
There were no easily available accessories for sale, but being handy and crafty guys with a long experience in the jewelry manufacturing business, we decided to create our own accessories, re-purposing materials and learning the craft of the time traveling fashion.
Re-visiting the fair, properly dressed this time, we noticed how much people loved and were interested in acquiring our hand made accessories.
It was then that Count Jester Dumont & Professor J. Jones (our steampunk names) created J&J Steampunk!
Steampunk fashion is a mixture of the Victorian era’s romantic view of science in literature and elements from the Industrial Revolution in Europe during the 1800s, or a style of design and fashion that combines historical elements with anachronistic technological features inspired by science fiction, which consists of make-up, hair styling, but specially clothing, jewelry, accessories and body armor.
Our aesthetic is inspired by the fashions of Victorian Era in England (1837-1901), but also by the Belle Epoque in France (1871-1914) and the Civil War era in the United States (1861-1865), which is often modernized by the addition of mechanical elements, gears and many other metal accents.
