In this post, I won’t teach you how to stand on a surfboard because I’m the last person ever that can teach you this. Google knows better. The title just states what I actually searched a day before we went paddling.
On May 1, Clube33 minus Elias (we missed you, dear Elias), went paddling in Huntington Beach. It was a fun day because we had breakfast at a local place there, in which I had my first Mimosa ever! Yes, I had a Mimosa at 10 AM. Only God can judge me, LOL. So delicious!
Then we went to the paddling place, we prepared ourselves to exercise our arms and to experience cold water, and by that, I meant me, because Anderson and Josian knew what they were doing and they didn’t fall. I fell. Well, let me rephrase that: I wanted to feel the water, I threw myself into the water.
The paddling part was so fun, we saw sea lions, they were so close to us. At first, until we get to the place they were laying down, I actually thought Anderson was playing around and making the noise of a sea lion. I remember even saying “you’re good at it”, LOL. But then, I saw the sea lions and kinda felt embarrassed. The show must go on.
We had fun paddling towards a harbor, in which we spent a good amount of time reading the boats’ names, and rating which one was the most creative! I can’t even remember if we had a winner. Anyways, so many names: my office (in which the owner made it look like an office), father’s boat (to ensure we all know that the owner is a father), sunset seeker (a cool, but cliche one), and many more. Here’s a question for you: if one day you buy one, which name would you give to it? No one asked me, but here’s my answer: rocket girl (because I love Rocket Man from Elton John), or my nickname, EHLA.
After the paddling, we went for a walk through the boardwalk, it was fun, but I got sunburnt. Not that fun. Actually, Josian forgot to put on sunscreen as well! Haha, I guess I wasn’t the only fool that day. We’ll do better next time.
Around 4 pm, we were starving, and we went to eat at Panelas, a Brazilian restaurant, in which Anderson knows the owner so well that HE MADE OUR CAIPIRINHAS. Can you believe it? Marcia, the owner, allowed him to make the caipirinhas himself! That was so cool. Yes, that was my second dose of alcohol that day, haha. The food was good, and the Caipirinhas, aaaaaah they were delicious, hahaha.
For those who don’t know what a Caipirinha is.
Well, it was a fun sunburn day! 🙂
Oh, and by the way, we were wearing the BungeeJump t-shirt! Anderson forgot his.
